It came out of the back of her brain into being and now all of The Ladies Of Lavender Landing know that Sophia is working on her doctorate. We are astounded. Even more of a surprise is that she is accomplishing this on-line and she knows how to do go about the entire process. This complicates the manuscript in progress for Meg & Megan Unlimited because the author has no idea how to go forward with this latest revelation. How long will it take and will she still be speaking to us?

The book Meg & The Ladies of Lavender Landing has brought forward a few not too favorable comments having to do with morality and good taste, although most readers love the Ladies and want to join them at Lavender Landing. One chapter has THE LOLL discussing a series of three books out many months ago having to do with some things erotic and/or not erotic dependent upon the viewpoint…bondage is part of the deal. Well, tonight the author of these books is to be one of those named by Barbara Walters, who at all times acts as though she is the leader in good taste and divine leadership, most fascinating people of 2012. I believe this vindicates THE LOLL and hope the world we know as Lavender Landing agrees.

Good news today. Good enough to set me dreaming of golden mornings way back when watching the man in my life shave. Yes. Shave. My good news is that old fashioned shaving is back. The hand held wooden bowl; the round bar of shaving soap; the double edged safety razor; the stainless-steel straightedge razor and badger- hair shaving brush. These are lovingly described in the LAT by Sandra Jones making my eyes mist and my heart warm with memories of …..well…use your imagination. Sandra says there is an element of being a “badass” for shaving with a straight-edge blade. Perhaps this, without ever hearing this word, is why some of us back in the day thought the shaving routine just a bit erotic. Today Sandra tells us that there is a thing called Art of Shaving singing out about “the brotherhood of shaving.” Our men didn’t need any of that. Their badass ways came naturally. Thanks be for that. And thanks be for becoming of an age with memories strong enough to take us through our days feeling just a little bit younger than we are.

2011 was the year when I intended to discover the truth. The fact that I am elderly. The time may be here this very day quite close to the end of the year. To back up a bit my first clue did come a few months ago at the discovery that no one was asking me about things past. If a subject would arise when more information was needed out came whatever gadget was in favor. With a few deft moves of agile fingers by my youngers there appeared all needed info not to be discussed let alone disputed. The San Diego Chargers played where in 1961…? . tap, tap tap, all information quickly came up on a tiny screen. I open my mouth to speak, but not soon enough and soon the topic changed. But today a more important thing has happened. Hard cover books of almost any kind are being displayed on coffee tables as objects of fine art. Back in the day we took great care with our coffee table books. Not only must they have at least an artistic bent of note, the covers I mean, the content didn’t matter very much, but the colors must not clash with the decor of one’s living spaces. Here is what has me beaten down into my elderly place: In this year of 2011 the most popular of THE collectors items in the category of taste and sophistication to display on the sacred coffee table is “THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW, REFLECTIONS OF AN AMERICAN LEGACY.” I give in. I am elderly. I am going back to sleep.
